WTOP Radio FM 103.5 aired first in 1948 as a commercial news radio station. WTOP is Washington’s top news, traffic, and weather radio. The owner of this station is Hubbard Broadcasting, Washington. They broadcast their program for the Washington metropolitan area. They also broadcast programs outside of Washington through repeater stations. At first, they used AM frequency and later they changed it to FM as a new primary frequency in 2006. The two repeater stations are WTLP and WWWT-FM. They ranked as the number 1 station around the Washington area in 2009.
