About WEEI 93.7 FM - Boston Sports News
WEEI 93.7 FM - Boston Sports News serves as the ultimate audio backdrop for drivers trapped in the daily crawl along Interstate 93 or Storrow Drive. For decades, local commuters have relied on this powerhouse station to turn frustrating gridlock into passionate debates about the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. Owned by Audacy, the station operates on a high-powered sports radio broadcast signal that covers eastern Massachusetts and reaches deep into New England.
The Heartbeat of New England Fandom
Passions run high. Whether listeners are driving past Fenway Park or heading home from work near the TD Garden, the station keeps the conversation focused strictly on the teams that define the region. The main FM transmitter frequency ensures crystal-clear reception across miles of packed highways. Host opinions generate endless phone calls from loyal callers who refuse to hold back their honest thoughts.
And those hot takes keep tired drivers awake during the evening rush. But callers do not always agree with the hosts, which makes every segment unpredictable and raw. The station remains a vital daily habit for tradesmen, office workers, and students throughout the Greater Boston area.
What Listeners Hear On Air
- Morning and afternoon drive-time local talk shows featuring veteran sports journalists.
- Live play-by-play coverage and post-game breakdown sessions.
- Breaking trade announcements and roster updates direct from local locker rooms.
By focusing on unfiltered fan opinions and deep sports coverage, the station captures the true energy of Boston sports culture. Long commutes feel much shorter when intense discussions fill the vehicle cabin every single hour.
