SomaFM - Xmas in Frisko Radio Listen Live San Francisco, CA

About SomaFM - Xmas in Frisko Radio

SomaFM - Xmas in Frisko Radio is an internet radio station based in San Francisco, California, that focuses on the alternative genre with a holiday twist. This station avoids the usual boring carols found on every other channel. Instead, it provides a mix of music that is often silly, raunchy, or just plain weird. It is a listener-supported project created by Rusty Hodge that gives people a place to find songs that do not fit into a standard Christmas playlist.

A Wild Ride Through Holiday Music

Listeners can expect a strange variety of tracks that cover everything from Christmas and Hanukkah to Kwanzaa and the Winter Solstice. The music selection is intentionally eccentric, featuring artists like Adam Sandler, Cyndie Lauper, and the cast of South Park. This makes SomaFM - Xmas in Frisko Radio the perfect choice for those who are tired of hearing the same five songs on repeat every December. It is a commercial-free alternative holiday music station that prioritizes humor and quirkiness over tradition. The experience is designed to be a bit offensive and very funny, making it a great background for holiday parties that want to avoid the typical mall music vibe.

How to Tune In and Listen

Getting access to the stream is simple for anyone with an internet connection. Most people use the SomaFM Web Player, but the station also works on popular apps like TuneIn and myTuner Radio. For those who prefer using their own hardware, the official site provides direct stream links in various formats. You can choose between MP3 and AAC streams at different bitrates like 128k, 64k, or 32k to fit your connection speed. This ensures that a wacky and eclectic holiday radio stream is always available regardless of the device being used.

• Commercial-free broadcasting
• Listener-supported funding model
• Broad range of winter holiday themes
• Multiple stream quality options for hardware players

This station stands out because it does not try to be polite. It embraces the chaotic side of the season. By mixing high-energy comedy tracks with odd musical experiments, it creates a listening experience that feels more like a curated party than a radio broadcast. It is a refreshing change for anyone seeking a non-traditional Christmas music mix during the cold winter months.
