About KBOY - 95.7 FM Radio
KBOY - 95.7 FM has been a fixture of the Rogue Valley airwaves for decades, and 95.7 FM carries that legacy forward every single day. Licensed to Medford, Oregon, this classic rock station serves listeners from Grants Pass to Ashland and beyond, spinning the anthems that defined generations of rock and roll.
The station's roots reach back to the early days of Southern Oregon radio. The KBOY call letters have graced local dials since the 1960s, first on the AM band before the FM frequency took center stage. From a transmitter perched in the hills above the valley, the broadcast signal reaches deep into the mountains, where listeners rely on it whether driving Interstate 5 or working a shift in town. That reach matters.
What Listeners Hear on 95.7
The playlist leans heavily on the golden age of guitar-driven music. Fans tune in for:
- Classic rock staples from the 1960s through the 1990s
- Legendary acts like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd
- Morning shows packed with local personality and community updates
- Contests and events tied to the Rogue Valley music scene
But KBOY - 95.7 FM is more than a jukebox. The station supports local concerts, charity drives, and community happenings across Jackson County. And while streaming has changed how people discover music, there is still something special about a hometown radio broadcast that knows the difference between a foggy morning on the Rogue and a sunny afternoon in the mountains. Radio matters here. Southern Oregon's classic rock tradition lives on through this station, one song and one broadcast at a time.
