About KATT - Rock 100.5 FM Radio

KATT Rock 100.5 FM has been a fixture of Oklahoma City radio since the early 1970s, when the station first signed on at 100.5 FM and began shaping the rock sound of central Oklahoma. What started as a modest broadcast operation grew into one of the market's most recognizable call signs, a station that generations of listeners have punched into their car radios on the way to work, school, or a game downtown.

Through the decades, the station rode every wave of the format. Album-oriented rock gave way to harder edges, and The KATT adapted without losing its identity. Its transmitter and powerful signal carry across the metro and well beyond, reaching listeners in Norman, Edmond, and the surrounding communities. For many locals, the 100.5 FM frequency has been the default dial position for decades — a habit passed from parent to teenager.

And the station never just played music. KATT Rock 100.5 FM built its reputation on personality: morning shows that mixed comedy with concert news, giveaways for sold-out arena tours, and coverage of local band showcases that gave Oklahoma acts a real shot at airplay. That homegrown connection still defines the brand today.
