About FunAsia FM 104.9 - KZMP-FM 104.9 Radio
FunAsia FM 104.9 - KZMP-FM 104.9 Radio is a South Asian radio station serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on the 104.9 FM frequency. Licensed to University Park, Texas, and operated by the FunAsia network from its Dallas headquarters, the station brings Indian music and Desi programming to one of the largest South Asian communities in the United States.
The Sound of Home on the Daily Drive
For countless commuters crawling along Central Expressway or the President George Bush Turnpike, the station is more than background noise. It is home. Bollywood filmi songs fill the morning drive, while afternoon request shows let listeners dedicate tracks to family and friends across the metroplex. And the Indian music programming stretches well beyond film soundtracks, mixing devotional bhajans, Punjabi pop, and chart-topping hits from Mumbai into the daily rotation.
- Bollywood and Hindi film music around the clock
- Live call-in request shows hosted in English, Hindi, and Urdu
- Community announcements for temples, festivals, and local events
- Religious and cultural programming for Desi families
- News updates and cricket talk for the diaspora
The KZMP-FM transmitter reaches listeners in Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Plano, and the surrounding suburbs, where generations of immigrants have built thriving neighborhoods. But the broadcast footprint no longer ends at the metroplex line. Through online streaming at funasia.net, former Dallas residents scattered across the country can tune in from anywhere, keeping their connection to the city alive.
More than a music station, FunAsia FM 104.9 - KZMP-FM 104.9 Radio functions as a true community hub for North Texas's South Asian population. It announces Diwali celebrations, airs Eid greetings, and gives local small businesses a voice on air. Few frequencies in Texas carry this kind of cultural weight.
