About Flashback Alternatives Radio
Flashback Alternatives Radio is a premier internet broadcasting station that has been serving passionate music fans since its initial launch in 1999. Originally starting its journey on the Live365 network under the name 'Kick Up The Eighties', it has successfully grown into a massive digital platform. While older directory listings traditionally associated the broadcast with South Orange, New Jersey, major global radio directories now officially list its streaming presence under Toronto, Ontario in Canada. Regardless of its physical server location, this dedicated online stream provides a seamless, high-quality audio experience to a worldwide audience of dedicated listeners who truly appreciate authentic retro sounds.
Classic Alternative and Indie Hits
The core programming is meticulously curated to feature the absolute best of classic alternative, new wave, punk, and indie music. Moving far beyond standard corporate playlists, the dedicated team pulls out rare tracks, forgotten underground music, and spectacular deep cuts that truly shaped an entire generation. With an incredibly massive music library containing over 50,000 unique songs, listeners rarely hear the same track repeated, ensuring a consistently fresh and exciting auditory journey every single day.
